EMQ Showcases IoT Innovations at Hannover Messe Industrial Expo 2024
Morgan Hill, CA, May 23, 2024 - EMQ, a leader in IoT connectivity solutions for smart manufacturing, proudly showcased its advanced MQTT technologies at the Hannover Messe Industrial Expo, held from April 22-26, 2024, in Germany. This major event is one of the world’s largest industrial fairs, attracting nearly 4,000 exhibitors from around 60 countries.
Hannover Messe is known for its focus on creating an interconnected industrial ecosystem and promoting solutions for a sustainable, high-performance industry. This year’s theme, "Energizing a Sustainable Industry," emphasized electrification, digitization, and automation as key drivers for achieving climate neutrality. The event highlighted digitalization, energy transformation, and AI/ML technologies as critical parts of modern industrial strategies.
EMQ's participation showed our commitment to advancing industrial digitalization and IIoT connectivity. We presented our latest solutions designed to efficiently address global industrial challenges. The expo started with a High-Level Conference, followed by daily themed presentations and panel discussions at the on-stand auditorium. The second day featured the EU Energy Day, with discussions led by DG Energy Deputy Director-General Mechthild Wörsdörfer on clean, affordable, and secure energy.
During the expo, EMQ EMEA's Head of Sales, Stefano Marmonti, introduced our IIoT solutions to Minister-President of Thuringia, Bodo Ramelow.
EMQ executives, along with Walker Reynolds, IIoT & Industry 4.0 Solutions Architect, explored the future of open-source MQTT brokers in an interview. They discussed the impact of digital transformation on manufacturing, highlighting customer-driven innovation. Reynolds praised EMQX, stating, “EMQX is my preferred broker; it’s the one we’re using in 80% of our implementations. Customers care about three things: High availability, high throughput, and low cost - that’s EMQX.” He emphasized EMQX's superior performance, ease of deployment in Docker, and its pioneering role in providing a SparkPlug Connecter/Parser. “EMQX is 18% more performant than the next fastest broker on the market,” Reynolds noted, showcasing its leadership.
EMQ engaged with key industrial vendors, including Siemens Digital Industries Executives, IFM Electronic GMBH, and leaders from Cloud Hyperscalers like Google. Discussions with Symmedia and Roseman Labs focused on advancements in data processing and secure data analysis. EMQ demonstrated the integration of ProGlove Solution Cases with EMQX Cloud for logistics, reinforcing EMQX’s versatility and performance edge in real-world applications.
EMQ showcased the EMQX MQTT Platform and NeuronEX to attendees. The Open Manufacturing Hub solution combines EMQX, a leading MQTT platform connecting 100 million IoT devices in a single cluster, with NeuronEX, a versatile industrial gateway. These tools facilitate seamless data exchange among diverse devices, supporting over 100 protocols like Modbus, OPC-UA, and EtherNet/IP. By breaking down data silos and enabling real-time monitoring, robust cybersecurity, and scalability, EMQ empowers data-driven decision-making and comprehensive data management. This allows factories to deploy intelligent applications for equipment health, energy optimization, production monitoring, quality traceability, predictive maintenance, and defect detection.
Looking ahead, EMQ remains dedicated to advancing industrial connectivity, fostering smarter, more efficient systems, and maintaining our open-source values.
